Residents are encouraged to utilize the supportive
services as determined necessary by a needs assessment
and service support plan. Case managers provide a variety
of services to assist residents in becoming drug-free,
violence-free, crime-free, stable and productive. Services
provided by paid staff or volunteers include:
- Family
Growth Program
- Food Pantry, Manna Market
- Donations Closet (household items and furniture)
- Blessing Bin (Christmas gifts)
- Case management services
- Cognitive/behavioral counseling
- Social services mediation
- Filial counseling
- Family mentoring
- Christian discipleship
- Spiritual growth through bible studies & church
involvement
- Crisis/basic needs assistance: food, clothing, financial,
childcare, transportation, abuse intervention, and
client advocacy (DHS, CPI, or in-home services)
- Life skills training and education: boundaries,
parenting, nutrition, spiritual growth, planning,
financial management
- Resource referral services
- Youth developmental
and recreational services
Housing case management is a critical service offered
by Good Samaritan to the community as it provides managed
support to identify, intervene and offset the impact
of a crisis, as well as, to facilitate progression towards
long-term housing opportunities. All emergency and transitional
housing clients are required to participate and the
participation of affordable housing clients is encouraged.
Our hope is that no client returns to a situation of
homelessness. Specific services include:
- Housing needs assessment
- Planning for future housing
- Financial management and budgeting
- Income subsidy
- Debt workout
- Language translation assistance
- Housing education
- Housing assistance referrals
- Placement assistance
