Our Mission:
To create a safe, supportive, Christ-centered environment
in which families discover their God-given potential
and access the resources needed to pursue their life
goals. We strive to honor Christ, put Him first, and
give Him glory in everything we say and do.
 Good
Samaritan Urban Ministries offers transitional
housing to single mothers with children who are homeless
or at risk of homelessness. Housing is offered with
the objectives of a) preventing
family instability and the risk of homelessness,
b) increasing long-term housing options, and
c) creating an environment
for life-transformation. Our Family
Growth Program offers individual apartment units
and relational support for several years, allowing Good
Samaritan to continuously work with the families to
stabilize and facilitate progression.
We provide supportive services including
the Family
Growth Program – participation of all emergency
and transitional housing clients is required. Its objective
is to a) stabilize and reduce family breakup due to
behavioral dysfunction and b) progress families’
lifestyles through spiritual support, education, mentoring
support, and financial planning. An individualized service
support plan is contracted with each family based on
their specific needs and rent assistance is offered
to encourage active participation.
