Youth Campus

The Youth Campus will house the Hope for Youth Mentoring program. As these youth begin to explore their God-given talents, they will be given the opportunity to explore a range of new hobbies and activities. The Youth Campus will accommodate various facilities such as an art and craft studio, darkroom, woodworking shop, mechanical shop, and a kitchen. The property will provide activities including music, pottery, computer classes, sports, and much more. Each activity will be run by volunteers called to share a part of their life and interest with youth.

Some seven acres of land with six buildings were acquired in July 2002 to provide facilities for the many programs offered in the Hope for Youth program.

Youth Activity Center
A building formerly used as an auto body shop has been converted to the Youth Activity Center with a large rec room providing various games such as pool and ping-pong. The center also includes a cozy family room setting with a fireplace for the youth to hang out after school, two counseling rooms, a conference room for teaching Bible studies with groups up to 15, and office space for youth staff.

Worship and Teaching Center
The construction focus has now shifted to the Worship and Teaching center. This 3,500 square foot building is divided into three areas:

Worship/teaching: Capable of seating over 200 people, this space includes a stage, large screen, sound room, and small nursery. It will serve as a facility for teaching larger groups, offering opportunities to welcome guest speakers, and other worship and fellowship events.

Kitchen: This commercial kitchen will be ideal for teaching cooking skills to small groups, with the functionality for serving large groups.

Computer Lab: Set up as a small classroom with 12 computer stations, youth will gain valuable technical skills to be applied in educational or vocational applications.

Workshop areas
Also currently under construction are the workshop areas that will be used for an art studio, woodworking shop, refinishing area, and mechanical shop. Old garage fronts will be given a new turn of the century look as these workshops become stores along main street in an old western town.

Nature Area
Five acres of wooded land, complete with a meandering creek will provide nature trails, outdoor "campfire" area, and gardening opportunities, offering kids a setting to commune with God and enjoy the work of His hand through his creation and garden.
