Hope for Youth
Mission: To build relationships
between at-risk youth and Christian adults through
mentoring in the spirit of Christ.
When the road they’re on leads to unwanted
pregnancy, crime, drugs, and in many cases, prison…what
hope do our children have for a brighter tomorrow?
Hope for Youth offers a Christ-centered approach
to reach pre-teens and teens in our city, who
risk heading down a path of destruction. We seek
to rescue hurting youth through Christian relationships
that build Godly character, develop vocational
and recreational interests, and point them down
the path leading to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
We firmly believe, as taught in Proverbs 22:6,
that if we "train a
child up in the way he should go, when he is old
he will not turn from it."
In 2005, we began talking to Serve Our Youth
about collaboration in the area of mentoring.
They will assist us in the area of providing training
to volunteers who contact us with an interest
in mentoring our youth.
