Family Growth Program | Supportive Services

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back from captivity. Jeremiah 29:11-14

Our Mission:
To create a safe, supportive, Christ-centered environment in which families discover their God-given potential and access the resources needed to pursue their life goals. We strive to honor Christ, put Him first, and give Him glory in everything we say and do.

As we continue to build on the Family Growth Program—already in place for our moms in Transitional Housing—we want to bring stability to these families through practical assistance but more importantly, we want to be a vessel through which God brings hope and a future. The program addresses core family stabilization issues such as personal and spiritual development, family relationships, child safety and parenting issues, nutrition and health education, financial management and life-skills development.

Each participant meets with a case manager to undergo an assessment to establish a service support plan, upon which an individualized long-term, interdependent support system is identified for each family. Rent assistance is offered to encourage active participation. Family Growth’s objective is to a) stabilize and reduce family breakup due to behavioral dysfunction and to b) progress families’ lifestyles through education, mentoring support, and financial planning. Tutors and mentors enable them to discover their potential and become all God created them to be, as women and as mothers.

We want them to discover their assets and see themselves as vital, contributing members of their communities. However, their greatest hope for the future is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
